Does anyone know who this is? They say they're from a firm....never specifically say law firm, and does not ever say what the firm is named. Sounds suspect to me, when our lawyer calls he states his law firm's name and then his name.

This is a scam they keep switching numbers but at the end of the day they are just trying to scam people out of money. If you push back for info then they hang up on you or put you on hold forever. Lets stop these people get every bit of info you can and give to the FL attorney general.  They have been shut down several times. They treaten you will jail to stupid to know that you can't go to jail on a civil matter.

Since looking this number up I called back to see what kind of firm it was I was treated so nasty and they hung up on me also and never gave me any information at all.

I received a voicemail from them today and they said they were with the firm of Alexia Calloway. When I called them back they threatened me and said it would be best to have my attorney call them. They would not tell me what this is in regards to. I advised them if this a debt of some sort, if they could mail or email me something regarding it, I would be happy to take care of if it is in fact mine. They then hung up.

I also received a voice mail from this office. They stated that they are calling from the office of Alexia Calloway and in a very threatening voice saying they must speak with my attorney and when I called and requested all information be sent to my home they just hang up. This has happened more than once.

I received a message on my voicemail of the same nature that they were calling from Alexa Calloway attorney at Law they need to speak with me or my lawyer and had my employer's name mentioned that they want me for questioning and they had my husband's name as a connection to me and to call them in an hour regarding questioning with my employer's attorney's.  It was very strange and no one at my work has any idea what I am talking about.  I called the number and left a message that I do not appreciate these types of calls but they didn't return my call and they don't even have a proper greeting when you call the number or the extension.

I just received a call this morning. Woman did not leave her name but said she was with DC Miller's office and to call dept 4020. Said I needed to call her back immediately and that I was wanted for questioning as well.  What is up with this?  Are they for real?  I hate to call them back because then they know that have my real number. Oh yeah, they tell me to call back to 877-627-0413

I have also received several calls on voice mail as well as leaving messages with my daughter. Always the same this is for my attorney and I have been named a key witness for questioning. Tonight was different the message said that I would be sorry if I did not call back.  Does anyone know if this could really be a debt collector? How do we resolve this?

i cant belive that people would take the time to fill out these "payday loans" and want to take a buisness down for collecting on a debt, that i havent seen on here that anyone has fessed up to. but want to call the FTC, FBI, BBB, and ETC. about how people are collecting. honestly. why dont people stop being so noisey and put back atleast what you borrowed, stop causing more drama to the attorneys that probaly have something better else to do instead of helping dumb broke people that are in debt!    face the reality! you are trying to find away NOT to spend your hard earn money but take time to sit at the computer and complain! im actually, practicing in law my 1st year and interning  in texas, the law office i work for gets a call about f.d.c.p.a and the attorney said that "why do people put themselves in stupid situations?" and told the man and his daughter that was being threatened to just pay off the debt that she originally borrowed. make this easy for yourself(s) pay what you owe and dont waste other peopls time.

Okay I have several comments. First of all I would like to respond to lawstudent79. Honestly, you have no idea what you are talking about. Sometimes people get caught up in situations where they HAVE to get a payday loan and then try to make payment but CAN'T. Whatever the situation one has, whether the loan was paid, unpaid, defaulted, does not give ANYONE the right to result to scare tactics. If fact, being a law student I'm sure you are familiar with the "ACT." If not, it's good reading material. What I find to be hilarious is that no one here has MENTIONED a payday loan until your post. It's funny how this is this company's method of scaring people and your the first one to mention anything about a payday loan...just an observation

I received a phone call today from "Beatrice Baltimore" at the number with the same type of information. Here's the thing...I have NEVER taken out a payday loan and they wanted me to wire them $500 in 60 minutes or else the Sheriff in my county would take me into custody. One of my good friends is a lawyer and I contacted him and he left a voice message...no response from the company.

I WAS THREATENED THAT I WOULD BE ARRESTED IF I DIDN'T DEPOSIT MONEY IN THIS ACCOUNT TODAY. I TOLD HER I DID NOT TAKE OUT A LOAN ONLINE. I ASKED DC MILLER IF SHE COULD SEND ME PAPERS BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS LOAN. DC MILLER WENT OFF AND TOLD ME I SHOULD HAVE PRINTED OUT THE PAPER WORK WHEN I DID THE LOAN. OK IF I DID THE LOAN I WOULD PAY IT BUT, I HAVE NOT TAKEN OUT THIS LOAN. I JUST WANT TO KNOW HOW ARE THEY GETTING THIS INFORMATION. I DON'T KNOW IF THEY GOT MY INFORMATION FROM ME ORDERING THINGS ONLINE. CAN SOMEONE HELP ME!!! WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE. THE FUNNY THING IS THEY CALLED ME ONCE BEFORE FROM LAW OFFICES OF ROMAN AND SPELLMAN SAME PEOPLE STILL WOULD NOT GIVE ME ANY PAPER WORK.

It's a scam. Call them back and inquire more information and they will hang up on you...pretty funny. Then call them right back and they will threaten to have you arrested for harassment. Have fun with them it's idle threats!

Call them back and dial extension 4020. Tell them, "Hey I'm still waiting to be arrested, where are you guys!?" DC Miller will respond, "Oh you are being sarcastic on a recorded line?" Respond with, "Yeah, you threatened me with arrest so come get me." Then DC Miller will respond with, "I don't have time for this." and will hang up. It's pretty damn funny...try it...pull the harassment on them since they want to scare people into wiring money for a debt they can't validate. Laugh at them they get so pissed. LOL.

My mom received a call from this number- saying that I was a person of interest and that I was in big trouble. I see I'm not the only one receiveng these threatning calls. She informed my mom that I needed to contact her by the end of the day or have my attorney contact her. Her name was Jane Spellman. The number she left for me to call back back was 877-627-0413 x4024.

OMG!  They called my husband and I over a passed due payday loan.  I called to let them know the debt was included in the BK and the woman I was tranferred too told me my husband and I were going down and the police would be contacting us and she hung up in my face.  never gave me a chance to say word.  i was also told to have my attorney call them.  They are a debt collector trying to collect a debt and they think saying law office and police will make us pay them for the old debt.  Ill be contacting my BK attorney about this.

Hey LawStudent79, first off, SPELL CHECK!! For someone who is practicing his "first year" of law, you should spell. Second, you would know that the tactics used by this so called "law firm" are illegal. It has nothing to do with paying back what is borrowed, as long as it is being collected by a legitmate company..which the company you are defending is not! Take your advice to people lame enough to listen to you.

ME!!!! Got it right about calling them back. I did the same thing when they were calling from another number. Interesting because they hate people calling them back because in fact any type of 800-866-888-877 number THEY HAVE to pay for the incoming calls! They do threaten to press harassment charges against you, but they can't do anything about it, only those who are sacred and by into their threats get scared. They honestly can't do anything. They even threatened my mother who was visiting my state on her cell phone that the local sheriff would arrest her and ESCORT her to her state line to turn her over to the "Federal Sheriff in California"...DUMB A** there is no such thing called a federal Sheriff of California!! Again, don't fall for their crap, a bunch of low life employees trying to get a cut in a scam. Oh and if they pull this "deposit in this account"...report it to that bank as a fraud account. Don't buy into the "we need a credit card number immediately" they will scam your account. THINK PEOPLE THINK!!! Don't you realize that if you owe any payday loan, first they have to file and serve you a civil lawsuit and then they will attempt to garnish wages....YOU CAN NOT be arrested for failing to pay a payday loan!!!

I did some research and i came up with alot of information. While one, they are not in South Carolina, they are in Jacksonville,FL. I saw on another website where someone tells all about them. I don't know if they use to worked there and got made and put there business out there,,,,but they really did one over on them. What made me search a little more because, i'm tried of recieveing the same message from that Sidni Roman. She made me so mad, sound likes she's yelling in the phone. But back to where they are located, i have a cousin that lives in J-ville. So, I ask her to go over to across the street from the Norwood flea market. She said that is a shoppong center called Gateway. So,when she got over there she called me and said,"there is a place called S&R loacated in the back of the mall." So,she tried to go in last week to apply for a job, but an old lady was seating at the door,so, she ask them was they hiring. At the same time she hear alot of loud talking in the back and so happen it was Sidni Roman and she was loud and G-E-T-T-O!!!!!!!!!! and geust what they are not white they are black as me!!!They need to seat down some where because,,they are NOT WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU at all!!! and they can get shut down for what they are doing..they are linked with Jackson and Phillps,Ted Ellis Crosby and Ellis Crosby & Associates. Spellman & Roman have over 1859 complaints and still going up. So,what i'm going to do is get my transaction form that i have from Bank of America and get my money back. I've already talk to the Bank and I told them whats going on,,,they said they account is already under investergation,,due to the constined activity to the account,they just want to run a clean bank but they will more then happy to give me my money back,,and he thank me for the information.

I also received a nasty message but they stated that they were calling on behalf of Jill Spellman attorney at law. When I called them back, they refused to even tell me what it was in regards too and to have my attroney return their call. This is ridiculous!

My mom received a call from this number this morning - saying that I was a person of interest and that I needed to call back by 1pm today to resolve (?). I see I'm not the only one to recieve a message like this. I called immediately and was told by Sydney Roman that I needed to pay $200 today the order 1704 - bad check will be filed with my state. She claimed of being from Spellman & Roman and identified herself as Sydney Roman. The number she left for me to call back back was 877-627-0413 x4035.  She also claimed that the company (a loan company I dealt with early last year) said they claimed bad check, bad kitting, and something else I could not identify it's title, but it has something to do with being able to stop someone from working. (If they want the money, why would they do something like that?) I had to cover someone's break and have to call back, but I really need to find my proof of paying that loan back.

This lady idetifing herself as alexa callaway called my parents and said that they needed to speak with me or my lawyer.  I called them from work and they never identified their firm or what county they are from. She also said the I had 90 minutes to come up with a sum of money or I will be arrested.  I got my parents involved and they got the run around.  I later recieved a call from a woman identifing herself as Trudi from the county clerks office.  She never said what county.  When I confronted her about this being a scam, she put me on hold than hung up on me.  I than called all the surrounding counties from where I lived and there was no record.
