Caller was Discover offering a credit card for our business. I said I had no interest and he replied, "We don't have any interest either." A good line, but an annoying call. He agreed to take us off the list.
This caller continuously calls my home everyday, something as much as five times in one day. The caller calls when I'm at work and later in the evening. Once I did answered the phone and learned that it was a telemarketer. I told the person that I was not interested. However, the person continues to call everyday. There must be someone who knows how to stop this caller. On May 22, 2009 the caller left a message saying that we have an outstanding debt. This is not true. Please, if anyone knows how to stop this caller, let the public know.
Caller calls us 5-10 times a day at home. When we pick up, there is no answer. We are on a don't call list (423-753-2914). How can we get this to stop.
This is a third party marketing company (telemarketer) hired by Discover Card. They are trying to sell credit protection. Over six months ago I told them I was not interested and asked them to please take me off their list. They continue to call daily. I am on the Government Do Not Call List, and I put in a complaint every time they call me. I'm not sure what this Federal organization is supposed to do, since they obviously have not had any success with stopping these persistent calls.
We get several calls a day from this number. There is nobody there when I answer, but as soon as I hang up they call right back. Surely wish I knew how to get it stopped because I am on the do not call list.
there has to be a way to get this Co. to stop harassing us...for more than a week or two........ 5-6 calls a day is way to much especially when I`ve told them to take me off their list, and I`m on the DO NOT CALL LIST GRRRRRRRRRRR
OMG. This seriously has to stop. They keep calling repeatedly, and everytime they do, the Internet loses connection for me, because the phone blocks the signal. 5-6 calls a day is so annoying! I hope someone will find a way to block this.... After a while they stop, and you let your guard down, THEN THEY START CALLING AGAIN!
Shows up on caller ID as "Prescriptives" and really annoying amount of calls. I have a 3 year old grandson who woke up early because of these calls one day. What is Discover Card's problem? I have told them many times not to call our number and if they're selling it to a 3rd party we're going to have a problem. Once again I have told them to stop calling and filed a complaint with the Do Not Call Registry. I can't remember what the caller ID showed last time we were harassed with sales calls but it wasn't Discover. I got rid of this card months ago and this is one of the reasons.
These people call at least 5 times per day from early in the morning until after 8 at night. I am listed on the No Call List, but it doesn't stop these people from calling.
Caller calls us 5-10 times a day at home. When we pick up, there is no answer. We are on a don't call list (979-848-0300). How can we get this to stop.
these people call 1-10 times a day. i called them back and after a mintute or two a lay came on and said "discover card this is ashley how can i help you?" i said to please calling me. then she hung up.
I have been receiving phone calls from this company for several weeks, sometimes 4-5 times a day. When I answer the phone, they ask to speak to my husband. When I tell them that he's not available and ask what they are calling for, they refuse to speak to me. I called the number back and it appeared that it was connecting to Discover card company, but gave no options. So today I called Discover and was told that they know nothing about a company called Prescriptives and that they don't have 3rd party callers. So when Prescriptives came up on the caller ID about 5 minutes after hanging up with Discover, I answered the phone in a very low voice, and they began to try and sell me Identity theft protection. Pretty ironic, since I think that's exactly what they are trying to steal. I just mumbled in my "Manly" voice and they caller kept right on talking. I then said "Officer-this is the bogus phone call I've been talking about". Well-that guy just kept repeating his name and his number and said that he was working for Discover. I swear he sounded like a POW giving me his name rank and serial number. I asked, if you are calling from Discover, then why does Prescriptives come up on the caller ID. He said that's because that was the system that handled their phone calls. I asked to speak to a supervisor. He got someone one the phone (probably the schmoo sitting next to him) who apologized for the phone calls and said that he didn't understand why Discover didn't know who they were. What C--p! All I can say is be careful. I'm going to try to find out how to block that number from ringing through. I'm getting tired of erasing 5 calls a day from them. I filed a complaint with Discover and with "do not call". Hopefully it'll stop, but I'm sure that tomorrow I'll have 5 or more calls from them because I gave them a hard time.
Thank you for the good info. "Prescriptives" has been calling me at least three or more times a day recently, but I have not answered yet. For what I read here, it sounds like a telephone phishing scheme using Discover Card as their cover.
