I have been recieving calls from MCCS for weeks.  They start calling before 9:00am and continue to call all day.  Finally I picked up the phone and no one was there, then I picked it up again, and the reception was not so great.  The person on the other end would not say who they were or what they were calling about.  When I asked what this was in reference to, he conintued to say "You are asking me what company I'm calling from?"  He said this over and over until I hung up.  Any info on MCCS is most appreciated.

This company is Macy's Customer Service.  My father passed away in April of 2008.  After telling them over a dozen times that my father is dead they still continue to call and harass us.  Ban Macy's from your Shopping list.  My mother is ill and they have the ignorance to continue their exceedingly poor practices.  They disgust me and everyone will know it.

I worked for a different kind of outsourced telemarketer for nonprofits only--as one of the under-paid working stiffs, all of us basically hated the job.

Here is the one (and only) way we were allowed to remove numbers from our list:
1. the caller confirms they are the name we're asking for;
2. the caller says "take me off your list."

No other words, no matter how vehement, allowed us to hit the right button to do this. Remember these words:  "take me off your list." The managers monitor the phone workers calls and will reprimand any worker who doesn't follow their script. And remember, even if your name is other than the person they're asking for when they call, you can answer affirmatively in order to get them to remove the number from their list. I believe this may only remove the number for several months, until a new master list is obtained by the telemarketing corporation from their customer (e.g., Macy's or whoever).

Caveat:  this was the legal requirement as of a few years ago. It could change. Different laws (state & federal) apply depending on whether the telemarketing is being done for nonprofit fundraising or for for-profit calls.

I detest telemarketing corporations, but their phone jockeys are just plain old folks. It's most effective to direct our efforts against the owners, executives and managers of these companies. Sadly, on the phone we're only speaking with the lowly wage-earner. There is power in educating ourselves about how to aggressively go up against the marketing and sales corporations' lobbyists in states and in D.C. They have huge sums to spend on getting the law their way. We who detest their business have power in numbers.

This will not end until thousands of people wake up to the legislative power those corporations wield with *our* elected legislators, and then take concerted focussed aggressive long-term sustained action to put a stop to it. Are you willing to do what it takes to stop this? Are you tired of the old frustration and defeat with every phone call? Would you be willing to learn about which weapons of democracy could end telemarketers' harassment?

I googled and some websites say it is Macy's.  If this is from Macy's my account is paid up.  I paid online.  They need to stop calling 4 and 5 times a day.  There is no one on the other end.  If it is not Macy's they still need to stop calling.

I just received a phone call from 727-556-5772 and when I answered they hung up.  I have been receiving several hang up calls on a daily basis but this is the first time I checked with #69 and they gave me the phone number.  How do I stop this thing?

called 4 times yest, twice today (within 5 min of each other).  To be sure, very polite at other end of line, but if they aren't willing to accept that Brianna Cypher doesn't live here, perhaps we could have a conversation about that instead of 4 calls a day looking for her.

I have joined the group....I paid uspeople search to see what kind of company this is...the same thing no one is at the other end...I'm in he midwest oout on workman's comp wih a crushed foot and hey start callimg me at 7am and all day. I just want to sleep with my pain meds.

I have been receiving about 6-8 calls per day from this number, which comes up on my caller ID as MCCS.  I don't answer, but do get some messages on my voice mail.  The messages are typically recordings asking me to continue to hold, sometimes there is no sound, and sometimes an electronic beeping noise.  I do have a Macy's card, am not behind on payments, and am not behind on any other credit cards, so there is no reason for these people to call.  The calls begin as early as 8 a.m., and are most frequent around dinner time.  I have turner the ringer off on my home phone as I am so annoyed by these people.

repeated calls a number of times a day.  When you answer they sometimes hang up on you.  Sometimes they talk but you can't understand them.  Then they hang up on you.  They have asked for information and I told them I don't give that out on the phone.  They hang up on you.  This needs to be stopped.  HOW!

I get these call too. Hung on for 4mins not a sound. Several calls a day. Today on Sunday, which is not legal. I advise you all to contact your district of attorney.

they call every time!!!! in a hour they call like 5 times it starts at 8 and end late. i dont ansewer to them. while i was typing this. they called our house phone!! i answerd no one said anything, i hung up. they called shortly after, he said something about dell? not a heavy accent though. looks like they are trying to get information..

funny thing is he asked for the wrong name!!!

Macy's Credit, located in India as I'm sure you all know, has all acounts on an auto dial system. They have no idea who will answer the phone. They refuse to identify themselves - illegal under the Fair Credit & Collecting Act. Each representative has the same auto-call list programmed into their phones and they do not check the status of your account until you provide them with information. The you get the tradition "I'm so very sorry. Your account is paid." Duh! That rep hangs up without noting the current staus. Then the next call comes in and so on, and so on.... File a complaint to the FTC. Without sufficient complaints they will not investigate.

After seeing several calls on caller ID but no messages being left, I answered. An extremely rude collections person was on the phone demanding a payment for my Macy's account. He kept interrupting me and refused to listen to my side of the story. I knew I was current in payments and not only that, had a credit on the account. I had My Check Free confirmation to show this but he kept interrupting me and was finally yelling at me and threatening to send me to collections if I didn't make a payment.  I told him he was rude, that he kept interrupting and that he had wrong information. More threats. So I hung up and called Macy's Customer Service number who straightend out everything for me and noted what a long standing and valuable customer I'd been. Well, I won't be anymore. This isn't the first time My Check Free botched a payment and I refuse to be insulted by rude collection people. I paid off the Macy's card and won't use it ever again. Probably am less inclined to shop there as well. Very very bad experience, and not the first.

Macy's has hired a firm in India to handle any late payments.  I have done business with them for over 50 years and I will never set foot in one of their stores again.  I was 4 days late on a bill due to a family members death and having to go out of town.  I didn't realize I had missed it and it didn't connect that MCCS was Macy's.  I answered it multiple times and no one was there.  I finally talked to a person the other day and it was the most rude Indian Man you can imagine.  He was horrible to me.  I'M DONE WITH MACYS FOR GOOD.  They called me 7-10 times a day!!!!!!
