Received call on my cell phone on 10/13/08 at 3:50pm. Caller id showed 305-836-7371. I didn't recognize the number so did not pick up. No message was left.
I got the call on my home phone and I'm on the do not call list. The message said "Your vehicle is now being reclassified. Call the mortgage hotline immediately at..."
This number came up on my caller ID and I answered it but no one answered. I called it back right away and it was a disconnected number. I thought this was strange.
I got the call on my home phone and I'm on the do not call list. The message said "Your vehicle is now being reclassified. Call the mortgage hotline immediately at..." When I called this number it did not exist. They spoofed the number. Made a number come up that did not exist on caller ID. It is a scam to get credit card numbers out of Singapore China.
General situation as most postings. When I answered, no one on the "other" answered. Called the 305-836-7371 back twice & Both times I received a pre-recorded msg that the line was not in service.
Obviously a scam...wish I had time to pursue the SOB's behind it!!

I keep a police whistle near my phone. When I saw this number on my caller id... I answered the phone. The recorded message said, touch #1 to get a live person. When I got the live person, I said hello, I'm a new customer," And blew the hell out of the whistle until they hung up. I'm actually looking forward to the next call from them. It makes me feel like I'm doing some kind of "pay back" instead of being complacent. As you know a call back does no good. They are using a disconnected 800 #
Was told by the local phone company to dial *57 after each call of this nature and report to the FBI online fraud site, and local police department to have on record. The caller from our tracing and research is someone claiming to be another business so they can get you to answer credit card violations that you owe. This is fraud of representation via the phone companies policies and most of you are probably not the culprits but someone had your number before you did and never paid their bills and is in claims. We are an online business www.raesinimages.com and this is our business line they call and we don't have credit problems lol.
To anybody who receives the scam calls from 305/836-7371, you can file a written complaint with the FTC to try to stop this fraudulent carap. I have been licensed as a Texas attorney for almost 15 years, and this type of call irritates me than almost anything else that I have dealt with. I have lodged a complaint against the, and you can also mail in your written complaint to:
Federal Trade Commission Consumer Response Center 600 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW Washington, DC 20580-0002
I don't think any form of the complaint is necesary, but a letter explaing why you are complaining should do the trick.
Received call on my cell phone on 3-7-09 at 11:30am. Caller id showed 305-836-7371. I didn't recognize the number so did not pick up. No message was left.
Got a call last night from this number 1-305-836-7371
A woman indicated that because of my good credit rating as well as paying my bills on time that they would reduce my interest rates on my Visa & Master cards and proceeded to ask me for my credit card numbers. I suspected a scam in process and hung up.
I also called the number back just to be sure and received a message that the number was not in service. Did a search on the Internet on this number and sure enough it’s a scam coming out from Florida. I also reported this to the FBI.
Definitely a scam. I received a call today, 3/17/09 advising me on a pre-recorded message that my credit card account APR can be lowered and to press 1 to speak to a live agent. Just to get to the bottom of it, and to learn more, I decided to speak to a live agent and I reached someone by the name of Philip who claimed to be a Customer Service Rep. with Visa & Master Card. He began to ask me a few questions about how much was my debt and how many accounts of each I had. When I noticed where the conversation was headed, I asked him for his full name, he gave me his first name only, and when I asked for his phone number, there was a brief pause and he asked me to hold on to get someone else who can provide that information. These type of calls can only be from scammers, who have nothing but to try to take advantage of people. If your bank wants to lower your credit card APR, they will first attempt to call you, their bank name and phone number will show on the caller ID, and will address you by your name. Don't fall for these calls and ask questions and if it doesn't feel right, it is definitely a scam. Trust your instincts. If it is a valid call, your bank will attempt to communicate with you via regular mail. Be careful!
Call received at an unlisted unpublished phone #. Recorded message: Car warranty about to be reclassified- press 1 to speak to rep, press 2 to have record removed. Have received this call before- pressing 2 does not stop them. When I pressed 1- I told the rep "I am on the do not call list" She asked if I knew what the call is about, I repeated, "I am on the DNC list.' She said, This isn't _ _ _ _ _ _ _? She actually said my first name, I repeated, "I am on the do not call list...Do not call us." and she hung up. did call trace (*57) and sending complaint to FCC. Will also contact FL telephone company.
Car warranty scam. About a dozen calls in three months. After the last conversation and promising they were going to stop calling, they then called my CELL PHONE.
I am really surprised that no one here said where the calls really come from. It's ether the Philippians or India. The bad news is, this is a loophole that companies do and can get away with it. The one that uses the "LOOPHOLE" the most it Bank of America. This means even with the Do Not Call List we/all are on means jack s---. Worst thing is they even use the DNCL to call people. Another "LOOPHOLE" for the Philippians and India.
The only way we can truly stop this is with new laws.
