Received this call after filling in an online car insurance quote with gocompare.com

getting fed up with receiving calls from this number as as soon as i answer the call they ring off!!   stop wasting my time i have better things in life to do!!

Got two calls after using confused.com for house insurance quote.

didn't bother answering...

I used a car insurance comparison site and received a call off this number half hour later

I got called from this number after using MoneySupermarket to compare home insurance.

I got call from this number after searching for car insurance in quotezone.com

I got a call from this number directely after using Money Supermarket.com for home insurance they rang the phone and hung up after approx two rings!  I assume they expect me to ring back.

I had the same issue after looking for Building insurance.
I have now signed onto www.tpsonline.org.uk to stop this crap coming thro but it takes 28 days - recommend you all do the same.

Just had 5 missed calls after doing a quote online with a comparison site. LEAVE ME ALONE, they were all expensive compared to Direct Line anyway!!!!!!

Has anyone tried complaining to TPS about this number. If it's a number these companies have passed on then surely they are breaking their own privacy T's & C's. I was getting calls from 08456850049 which I believe is from CompareTheMarket.com and was wondering if they'd passed my number on. CompareTheMarket were calling me for a week every day until I answered their call today and told them I'd signed up with Lloyd's TSB home insurance just to get them to leave me alone. Sodding swines!!

If you visit moneysupermarket.com and fail to read the small print correctly about opting out of third party calls then you may well get silent calls. Shame on web sites that trick you this way whilst claiming to have trusted privay policies.

Yup, just had the same experience - went to GoCompare.com for house insurance quotes and now they keep ringing!

I filled in an online form because I didn't want to speak to anyone about it, just do it with minimum fuss, didn't think for a minute I'd get all these phone calls.  

Not only that, they are trying to sell me some complicated version of insurance to cover 2 houses at once without knowing the final price! When they ring back I am just going to tell them I have sorted out insurance with someone else (a company who I chose to call myself, not one that keeps bothering me).

A definite lesson learned for me!

I too used a comparison site to get an insurance quote, then have had a few calls from this number. doesn't ring long enough to answer, so obviously a trick to get you to call them back!

I wonder where moneysupermarkets privacy allows customer to opt out from receiving third party marketing calls. God save this business valued at $1bn ! may be they win their bread by passing details to third parties. !!!

I received two calls this morning from this number, Bearing in mind that it is a Saturday and one of them was just after 9am I am not too happy, particulalry as they rung off as soon as I picked up.

The funny thing is that I didn't use a comparison site to get an insurance quote. So how did they get my number??

I got a call for car insurance from this number which was quite competitive but they did not leave a name or reference number and I want them to phone back as I need to compare with another quote I got.... Am I made that I want them to call me - if you work for this company and see this blog - CALL ME I need that competitive quote now!
