Called vodafone to try to get this blocked...They told me to call the police! Like hell the coppers are going to do anything about it...

the calls keep coming relentlessly during busy hours when i cannot answer. try to call the number back to find out number doesnt exist. what a shonk.

its a vodafone customer service number the silence is caused by the overseas transfer time the nuber is dialed by computer eventually a person will answer u can call vodafone and ask to be removed from their promotions list apparently

I am getting called on a daily basis from this number. I don't answer and it goes to VM, but no message is ever left.

everyone stop freaking out about this number - it is a wide spread problem & you can't call it back coz the number is an alias.  ie. 0414113600 is a virtual number that won't be compatible for you to call it back with your mobile phone, only vodafone can use it from their service for outgoing calls, ie. some dude in India calls your mobile phone about a new phone or contract etc., then this is the number that will appear on your phone, its a number vodafone use for promo stuff - usually it will call within business hours in the hope of talking to somebody about their latest offers etc. - if you get a call from this number & it is silent on the other end, this means the call is long distance & will have to go through a series of satellites, towers, routers, switchers etc. to reach you, sometimes without success; the silence you hear means exactly that, that there's nobody on the other end yet, that your phone is waiting to receive a data packet from the far site.  

think of it as spam.

I hate spam!!!  The fact it is widespread is even more of a concern.  Spam is a problem and waste of time on-line, but I think even worse on a mobile phone because it causes a bigger inconvenience with having to take the call / check the phone etc when you are out and about - for an unwanted call.  I have had 10 calls in the past week alone - it is very frustrating.  It only seems to happen to Vodafone accounts, so as soon as my contract is up, I am NEVER USING VODAFONE AGAIN. It is that frustrating for me - and obviously for many other people by the number of hits you get on Google for this number.  As a last ditch effort, and in the absence of any concern from Vodafone, I will complain to the Telco Ombudsman.

I'm pretty sure they are just calling because your contract with vodaphone is running out soon and they want to talk about renewing it or changing it. Vodaphone coverage is crap though so I've started ingnoring the calls quite persistant though. If you answer, all you have to do is say take my number off the list please.
