Just had a phone call from this number and they said im ringing about your 02 contract, and then i asked whats its about and they put the phone down.....

my phone rang went to answer and they disconnected so i called back and it to me to hold while we try to connect you

phone rang for a few seconds and then hung up..happened a few months ago aswell

I received a call from this number and when i answered the phone went straight down.  I called it back and a guy answered saying he was from the government and looking into ID protection scams and wanted to ask me some questions.  

I asked if he could call me back as I don't trust these numbers as they are generally scams.  The guy said he would call me straight away and asked for my name.  I gave him a fake one.

The return call never came.

I reported the incident to O2 customer service who made a note on my account.  

This is clearly a SCAM and there must be a way to trace where these people operate from.

Received a call, 16.44pm today, I went to answer, and I said 'hello' but call had ended - I think immediately.  Dont know whether the got connected to me or not.   I wonder whether they are trying to get people to call back then somehow scamming us?  hmmmmm....

I just had missed call from this number so googled it found this.

I would like to know how these people get your number as mine is kept private!!!

In almost 20 years of having a mobile there is only 1 company I've had a problem with & that is 02.

You ask who these people are they hang up. Ive even had repeated calls & o2 don't block numbers!

This JUST happened to me.
Not gonna call them back after reading all these posts and more through google
